As we promised, we’re back with a fresh, powerful and Flickr ToS friendly version. We have done our best to make Flishr 3.0 compliant to Flickr API Terms of Service. However, please consider that Flishr is still in beta release, so do let us know if you found any bug or have copyright concerns for current Version. Please enlighten us with your suggestions to improve Flishr service.

You can download “Flishr V3.0″ from the download section. Please remember to uninstall the older version before installing version 3.0 (if you already have Flishr installed). To uninstall, please goto “Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs” and find Flishr to be removed. Once you installed the new version, you have to De-Authorize and Authorize your ID in Flickr again.

A few important enhancements in Version 3.0 are:

  • We now process the list of Opted-Out users on our own servers. If you want to block Flishr users to have access to your photos, you may email us your Flickr ID to Flishr@gmail.com with “Subject: Remove my ID in Flishr”. This feature is added based on Flickr API ToS.
  • When you search in Flishr, you may notice that some of the photos’ title have Red Text while some are Black. Red Text means that All Rights Reserved for this photo or the photos is set to be Non-Downloaded in Flickr. This way you can find out which photos are not allowed for copy and download.
  • We prevent users from downloading any size of photos tagged with “All Rights Reservered” or “Non-Downloadable”. So even if you choose ARR photos to download, the downloader will skip from them.
  • If you point your mouse on any thumbnail in your search result, you can see the License Type for the photo in a small tooltip!
  • A few bugs in Group search results are fixed. Thanks for users’ reports.
  • We have also revised our Help Document, Terms of Service and Privacy Statement. So please review them before you download.

Please note that due to changes in our API Key, the older version doesn’t work anymore. Please uninstall and install the new version.

Last but not least, let us take the opportunity to thank our valued users for their patience and continues support.
